here we go again

Issue 5, and I can't believe it's been six months ... we're hard at work on our first print issue, which will be launched at an event in September.

This is our European issue, with Sweden's The Concretes, Scotland's Mogwai and Montreal's Malajube on tour in England and Scandinavia. The photos on the site are of London's Camden Lock, taken by the very lovely (and contibuting writer) Julia Coey. And, as always, there is the ever-hot podcast too.

Check it all out at www.thenewpollution.net.

burgler

There is a burgler in my birdfeeder. I chased the little bastard away the first time, the birds have enough shit to put up with in terms of bird social hierarchy (the sweet red bird is like the intern of the block, and gets booted out if one of the sparrows is hungry) ...

the plot gets more complicated now, however. i think the little rodent has really formed an emotional connection to the place, which we shall call "his condo." i saw him sleeping in it the other night. so now i can't evict him. so now i have a squirrel feeder outside my window. and his appetite has almost cleaned me out of birdseed.
